About Our Facilities : ADA Accessibility
Milwaukee World Festivals, Inc. works to make each of its venues physically
accessible for all festival goers. All festival venues are ADA (Americans with
Disabilities Act) accessible.
Facility Access: Accessible picnic tables, drinking fountains and accessible
restrooms are located throughout the grounds. Accessible seating is also
available at all stage areas on a first-come, first-served basis.
Accessible Parking: Spaces are available in Lots G & H. Vehicles must have
appropriate plates or a permit to park in accessible spaces. All parking is on a
first-come, first-served basis. Also, during VERGE passengers in
personal vehicles can be dropped-off/picked-up at the South Gate or on
Michigan Street near Urban Park.
National Spinal Cord Injury Association Respite Pavilion: This "smoke free"
facility, located just South of the Miller Lite Oasis, is specifically designed for
the comfort of our patrons who have disabilities and special needs. The pavilion includes a fully accessible shower and restroom facilities, an air conditioned
rest area and an outdoor observation deck. Storage lockers and
oxygen storage is available. No attendant services are available. This facility closes at 9:00 pm.
Wheelchair Rental: A limited number of wheelchairs
can be rented for a minimal charge (with two forms of proper ID).
Wheelchair rentals are located at the Mid-Gate. Rentals
are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Sign Language Interpreters: Sign language interpreters can be provided for
specific performances upon request by calling the Summerfest offices at 414.273.2680 (voice/TTY).
Service Animals: Service animals are allowed on the grounds provided the
animal does not pose a danger or threat to other service animals or patrons.
Owners of service animals are responsible for the animal's personal cares. A
relief area for service animals is located behind the Respite Pavilion.
